Evelyn B. (Allen) Mason of Stoneham, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Winchester Hospital. She was 89 years of age.
Born in Pokemouche, New Brunswick, Canada, Evelyn was the loving daughter of the late Luc Allain and Treva (Barry) Allain. Evelyn was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Evelyn retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She was a dedicated Volunteer at the Stoneham Council on Aging. Evelyn enjoyed knitting and traveling with her son and daughter in law. Her true love was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Mason. She was the devoted mother of Richard Mason of Stoneham, Judy Powell of Newburyport, George Mason and his wife Terry of Illinois, Arthur Mason and his wife Susan of Stoneham. Evelyn was the cherished grandmother of 10. She was also survived by several loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held on Friday at 11am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available.
