Evelyn J. (Sinclair) O'Keefe

Evelyn J. (Sinclair) O’Keefe of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, with her family by her side.  She was 75 years of age.

Born on Friday, January 24, 1947 in Winchester, Evelyn is the loving daughter of the late Percy C. Sinclair and Letitia Belle Sinclair.  Evelyn is a warm, gentle and kind daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.

Evelyn had many hobbies and skills she loved to share with her family.  From photography, ceramics, and a variety of other arts and crafts.  Most of Evelyn’s creations were always on display for each Holiday.  Her home was always decorated for every occasion with her creations from Easter, St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween.  However, Christmas was her favorite.  There was not a Christmas that went by, when her nieces and nephews were younger, that you didn’t get a new Christmas decoration to add to your tree.  Her love of crafts was only surpassed by her love of adding to her extensive Teddy Bear collection.   Each bear had a family group and was always well placed throughout her home with their own furniture.  Evelyn enjoyed traveling; her favorite trips were to visit family in Canada, Maine, and New Hampshire.  Her family will miss her sense of humor and infectious smile.  She is now at peace and will forever be united with her best friend and love of her love, Bob. 

Evelyn is the beloved wife of the late Robert O’Keefe.  The cherished sister of Robert Sinclair and his late wife Linda, the late Katherine Sinclair Chouinard and her surviving husband Roger, she is the dear sister-in-law of Marijane McCarthy and her husband John and Ronald O’Keefe and his wife Peggy.  Evelyn is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Evelyn’s Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, August 6^th at 12pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Evelyn’s Family prior to the Service beginning at 10am.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.  Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
