On May 13, 1942 she married Carlyle Brown, and they lived in Illinois and Washington while Carl served in the U.S. Navy before moving to Schenectady, New York.
Florence dedicated her life to her husband, children, family, friends, and her faith in God. She had a profound impact on the lives of many people. For many years she volunteered her time and talents at Ellis Hospital and other community organizations, as well as the First Presbyterian Church.
Florence was the beloved wife of 67 years to Carl Brown. She was the devoted mother of Bruce Brown of Montreal, Quebec, Martha Rydbeck of South Hamilton, Massachusetts, Elizabeth Siemens of Omaha, Nebraska and Karen Brown of San Diego, California. Florence was the cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and great grandmother of two. She was the dear sister of Gerald Person of San Diego, California, Burton Person of Chester Village Connecticut and Glen Person of Eden Prairie Minnesota.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Florence's Life will be held on Friday November 6th at the First Presbyterian Church 209 Union St. Schenectady, NY at 11am. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colony NY.
