Florence F. Sullivan of Spring Street, Reading, Massachusetts died Monday, May 16, 2005 after a short illness.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Jeremiah F. and Florence M. (Curry) Sullivan. She was a lifelong resident of Reading, Massachusetts.
Ms. Sullivan retired from Reading Municipal Light Department and earlier was employed for over 30 years for W.T. Grant Co. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, Reading Chapter.
Ms. Sullivan was the sister of the late Robert B. Sullivan of Saugus, Massachusetts and the late Mary D. Ritchie of Newport Rhode Island.
She is survived by her sister in law, Doris Sullivan of Saugus, Massachusetts and nine nieces and nephews: George W. Ritchie III of Providence and Newport, Rhode Island; Jeremiah F. Ritchie of New London, Connecticut; Peter R. Ritchie of Newport, Rhode Island; Mary E. Hatey of Richmond, Rhode Island; Josephine A. Ritchie of Middletown, Rhode Island; Robert E. Ritchie of Newport, Rhode Island; Christine F. Ritchie of Newport, Rhode Island and Andrew A. Ritchie of Middletown, Rhode Island.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Florence's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 3-6pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Burial will be in St. Columba's Cemetery, Middletown, Rhode Island.
