Frances Buchanan

Frances (Angelo) Buchanan, of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away on July 2, 2007 after a brief illness at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was 89 years old.





Born in Boston, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late James Angelo and Sarah (Bellafiore) Angelo of Italy.





Frances was very active within the community. She belonged to the Knitting Club "Chick Knits" at the Senior Center in Stoneham. She loved to play bingo with her friends. She also belonged to the Senior Citizen Club in Medford as the Treasurer.





Frances was the beloved wife of the late Carl A. Buchanan. She was the cherished mother of Sarah Sorenson and her husband Donald of Laconia, New Hampshire and Denise Cultrera and her husband Larry of Saugus. Frances was the dear sister of the late Joseph and Mary Angelo, Anna Zenkin, Rose St. Cyr and Frank D'Angelo.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating France's Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
