Frances M. Nickerson

Frances Marie (Hurdy) Nickerson of Reading passed away on Monday, August 20, 2007, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 87 years of age.





Born in Boston, Frances was the loving daughter of the late James Hurdy and Helen (Jones) Hurdy. Frances was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed.





Frances was active at St .Agnes Church in Reading where she served as a lay minister. She was a loyal volunteer at Winchester Hospital.





Frances was the beloved wife for 65 years of Robert A. Nickerson. She was the devoted mother of Charles F. Nickerson and his wife Elaine of Westford, Kathleen P. Buckner and her husband Ronald of Reading, John R. Nickerson and his wife Terri of Duxbury, Kathleen F. Wingate of New Jersey and the late Robert A. Nickerson Jr. Frances was the cherished grandmother of 8 & great grandmother of 5. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Frances' life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located on Linden St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
