Francesco "Frank" Perrone

Francesco "Frank" Perrone, of Stoneham passed away on February 4, 2015 at the age of 93 (born in Gaeta, Italy). He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, Papa, Big Papa, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

A resident of Stoneham for 56 years, Frank was very active at the Stoneham Senior Center, and a regular member of their men's poker group on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He loved taking long walks and was an avid sports fan. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Frank was the beloved husband of Nicolina Perrone. He was the devoted father of Fran Smith and her husband Scott, Vincent Perrone and his wife Nancy, and Steve Perrone and his wife Rosa. Frank was the cherished "Papa" of Jessica Poti and her husband Tom, Amy Stadelmann, Courtney Perrone, Valarie Louis and her husband Dave, and Felicia Costa. He was the adored great-grandfather "Big Papa" of Tyler and Dylan Poti. Frank was the dear brother of Mary Accetta, Theresa Accetta, Paul Perrone and his wife Rose, and Betty Gentile and her husband Arthur. He was the loving son of the late Vincent and Francesca (Miele) Perrone.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday, February 10th from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday, February 11th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Frank's Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham at 10am. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
