Francine E. (Esposito) Spada
June 26, 1949 — April 13, 2020
Francine E. (Esposito) Spada, 70, beloved wife of Louis A. Spada, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020. Born in Boston, Massachusetts. Francine is the daughter of the late Gennaro and Elizabeth (Rico) Esposito.
Loving Mother of Lauren Hromada and her husband Eric, and Marc L. Spada and his wife Alanna. She is the cherished grandmother of Evan Hromada, Dominic Spada and Colette Spada. Loving sister of Gerald Esposito and his wife Donna, Janice Santoro and her husband Robert, Karen Esposito and her late husband Andrew Brejcak, and the late Joanne Esposito. Francine was also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all.
Francine grew up in the North End of Boston and was a graduate of Julie Billiard High School. She was a long time Stoneham resident, moving to town in the early 70s to start a family. Francine was a wonderful mother, overjoyed grandmother, caring aunt, devoted daughter, and loving sister. She dedicated herself to her family while also working nights for 30+ years in the Real Estate Department at Nutter, McClennen, and Fish LLP. She was a strong, intelligent woman that balanced work and life while selflessly putting her family first.
Francine loved to knit. She was well known for the homemade blankets she made for all the newborns. In retirement, she got to enjoy her favorite hobbies: bingo, casino trips, and lounging by the pool. Every year she traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate her wedding anniversary. Her most cherished times were Sunday family dinners, especially if there was a Patriots game. She loved her family being together and doting on her grandchildren.
Francine dedicated much of her time later in life as a caretaker for her father Gennaro, mother Elizabeth, and older sister Joanne. She was always there if anyone needed her. She was a shining star in our family, never letting her loved ones out of her orbit. She made it a point to always call or email and never lose touch. She was easy to talk to and was always prepared to offer her advice.
Francine's family will be holding a Celebration of Her Life at a later date.
