Francis E. "Frank" Hewitt Jr.

Francis E. “Frank” Hewitt, Jr. of Stoneham passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. He is 71 years of age.

Born on Sunday, February 8, 1953 in Cambridge, Frank is the loving son of the late Francis E. Hewitt, Sr. and Jean (Scott) Hewitt. Frank is a warm, kind, gentle & loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed.

Frank was a loving and kind father who was known for his attentiveness and generosity. He loved a good story and told them in extensive detail. He was a very active member of Pack 551 where he was a retired Cubmastser. Frank was also an avid fisherman and always had a fishing pole in his hand, but not always a fish, at his beloved camper in Maine where he spent summer vacations. He had a passion for traveling and visiting new and exciting places with his wife of 49 years by his side. 

Frank is the beloved husband of Cheryl (Enos) Hewitt. He is the devoted father of Frank Hewitt III and his fiancé Alanna Goguen, Patrick Hewitt and Sarah Hewitt and her husband Joseph Stanley. The cherished grandfather of Tyler, Summer, Trevor, Andrew & Charlotte, Frank is the dear brother of Debra Hewitt. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss him.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Frank’s Family on Thursday, January 9th from 11am – 2pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
