Francis Gomes, of Stoneham passed away Saturday March 30, 2002 at his home in Stoneham after a brief illness. He was 72 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Mr. Gomes lived in Stoneham for many years. He was employed by Mitre Corporation.
Mr. Gomes was a loving husband, father, and grandfather,
Francis is survived by his wife Alice (Silva) Gomes his mother Evelyn (Dionizio) Gomes, his three children, Richard and his wife Maxine of Townsend, David of Stoneham, Steven and his wife Theresa of Westford, his grandchildren Stacy, Christina, Mary Bridget, his step grandchildren, Jacqueline and her husband John Comeau. He was the brother of the late John Gomes.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham on Wednesday April 3, 2002 from 2-4 an 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Thursday at 10:00am
