Francis J. "Frank" Mugherini of Mashpee, April 17, 2010. Beloved husband of Bernice C. (Nigro) Mugherini. Devoted father of Neal F. Mugherini and his wife Sally of Lynnfield, Dorothy A. Newman and her companion Steve Harvey of Stoneham, Susan M. Clark and her husband Scot of FL. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Mugherini and his wife Amy, Andrea (Mugherini) Warren and her husband Drew, April Newman, Deborah Mugherini, David Clark, Jonathan Clark and Joseph Clark. Great grandfather of Olivia Warren. Dear brother of Richard Mugherini, Theresa Mattuchio and the late Lena Dooley, Alice Rogers, Mary Lowe, Charles Mugherini and Isabella DeAngelis. Loving son of Ugo Mugherini, Casira Mugherini and Theresa Mugherini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. US Army Veteran, during WWII Frank served in the European Theater in Italy. He received a Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star and African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, liberated many towns in Italy ending the campaign in Cassino. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Service celebrating Frank's life in the Parish of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St., Melrose, MA at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available.
