Francis Silvia of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at his home. He was 77 years of age.
Born in Taunton, Francis was the beloved son of the late August Silvia and Mary (Morris) Silvia. Francis was a warm and caring son, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
Francis was a dedicated Veteran, serving his Country in the Army during World War II. He was self employed owning Best Plumbing and Heating Company and was a member of Plumbers Union Local 12 since 1948.
Francis was the beloved husband of 34 years to Beverly (Barlow) Silvia. He was the devoted father of John Silvia and his wife Becky of Maine, David Silvia and his wife Michele of N.H., Paul Silvia of Haverhill, and Kimberly Silvia and her husband Mark of FL. Cherished grandfather of 5. Dear brother Mary Vieiera of East Boston, Helen Cunha of Natick and the late Elsie Nunes. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Francis' life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Sunday 2-6pm. Interment National Cemetery, Bourne.
