Frank P. D'Annolfo, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 15th at his home. He is the husband of the late Patricia (Gray) D'Annolfo and the late Marie (Baudin) D'Annolfo; father of Janice D'Annolfo, Diane D'Annolfo, Elaine Parruccini, Frank D'Annolfo, Jr., Catherine D'Annolfo, Lisa D'Annolfo Levey and her husband Bryan and Michael D'Annolfo and his wife Alicia; grandfather of Federica and Victoria Parruccini, Daniella D'Annolfo Maloney, Skylar and Forrest Levey and Trevor and Kaitlyn D'Annolfo; cousin of Mary Vallarelli, Michelle Lynch and her husband Wally, Pam Vallarelli and her husband John, and Frank Vallarelli; along with many nieces and nephews. He was son of the late Federico and Rosina (Rotundo) D'Annolfo and brother of the late: Michael, Anthony, William and Phillip "Chickee" D'Annolfo.
Frank grew up in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. He served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army, in the 11th Airborne, 187th, 3rd Platoon, during the Korean War. and later attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology. He worked as a builder with his brothers William and Anthony. They started the D'Annolfo Construction Company and were responsible for building many single family homes in town and in surrounding communities. Frank led the construction of the Buckingham Terrace apartment complex in Stoneham which he managed for many years. He loved sports and contributed to the Stoneham sports community, funding the lights on the football field at SHS and the creation of new dugouts for Stoneham Little League. Frank was a hard worker and dedicated himself to his job and community.
Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Route 28) Stoneham, on Thursday June 22nd from 8:30-9:30 am. A Funeral Mass celebrating Frank's Eternal Life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10:00 am. Interments will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Stoneham Athletic Department, 149 Franklin St., Stoneham, MA 02180.
