Frank Wallace LeBrun, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many died unexpectedly of natural causes on December 21 in Madison, Maine.





Frank was born on January 15, 1928 in Revere, Massachusetts to Frank and Violet LeBrun . In 1933 his family moved to Stoneham, where Frank resided until moving to Maine in 2005.





Frank attended school in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High class of 1946. He was WWII army veteran, serving in Occupied Japan. He married his wife, Ruth Hanford in 1952. Together they raised a family and lived an active and happy life in the home they built in Stoneham. Frank and Ruth loved to travel, dance and most of all, spend time with family and friends.

In 1990 Frank retired from the Boston and Maine Railroad after working as an engineer for over 35 years.





Frank was a gifted artist. He also had the ability to make or fix just about anything. He was a skilled craftsman, becoming a master wood carver after he retired. He amazed everyone with the number of projects he was working on at any given time.





His family and friends were the most important part of his life. He was known as "friendly Frank" because he had the gift of being able to quickly make friends wherever he went. He had a generous spirit and gave freely of himself and his time. He was a vital part of his community and maintained many life long relationships. He will be sadly missed by his family and his large circle of friends.





Frank was predeceased in 2004 by his beloved wife, Ruth.





He is survived by his children, Paul and his wife Robin of Madison, Maine; Susan and her husband Ken Champagne of Minot, Maine, and Steven and his wife Debra LeBrun of Westford Massachusetts, grandchildren; Josh Brown and his wife Sara, Jessie, and Kaitlyn Champagne, Sarah LeBrun , and Evan and Aren LeBrun; great grand children Kyle and Kassandra Brown ;





He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanne Clifford and Francis McNeil; nieces and nephews Carol Lyonnaise, Andrea Bekkenhuis, Elaine Damon, Stuart McNeil, Jill D'Annolfo, Fred and Gary Confalone and Lisa Altieri and many, many dear friends.





A Funeral Service celebrating Frank's life will be held on Monday at 10am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 79 Central St. Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remebrances with the family on Sunday from 1-4pm in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. Following the burial, friends and family will gather at the Lord Wakefield, 595 North Ave.,Wakefield.
