Frank R. Sullivan of Reading passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 87 years of age.
Born in Winthrop, Frank was the loving son of the late Martin V.B. Sullivan and Jessie (Morrison) Sullivan.
Frank loved to be with his family. He was a warm and caring husband, father and grandfather. Frank was known for his sense of humor and he loved sports. He was a very kind man and will be sadly missed.
During WWII, Frank proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Navy.
Frank was the beloved husband for 61 years of Anna (Greim) Sullivan. He was the devoted father of Carol Bruce and her companion Walter Pizzano of Billerica and Frank R. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Catherine of NH. Frank was the cherished grandfather of Michelle, Kevin, Carolyn, Joseph, Danny, Shawn and Eric. He was the Great grandfather of ten. Frank was the dear brother of the late Donald Sullivan and Barbara Mansfield. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Frank's Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Friday from 4-7 pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
