Frederick J. Boni of Reading, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
Born on August 8, 1952 in Malden, Massachusetts, Frederick was the loving son of the late Walter Boni and Alice (Gurska) Boni. Frederick was a warm, kind and caring son, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Frederick, also known as Fred, was a well-known member of the community. He was a townie and spent most of his adult life in Reading.
When he was not out in his garden, Fred was spending his time with his German Shepherd, Prince, the two were inseparable, and completing new projects. He would often drop whatever he was doing to help others in need, even a stranger. If an animal or human were in trouble, Fred was always there. He also took in many dogs, as he trained dogs for most of his life.
Fred was an extremely dedicated single parent, who was always attending Reading Pop Warner games and competitions, horseback riding shows, and other various school events. He always brought healthy food options and was the "photographer" for every event his daughter was a part of.
Fred was also an intelligent businessman and tradesman; he was best known as an electrician. He had owned several businesses and employed hundreds in his time, the most recent business being Joule Electric Co. He had completed many jobs and projects and truly enjoyed his work. He was also known as being a "jack of all trades," and was well versed in current events and other various subjects.
Fred is the beloved father of his only child Kristina Boni and her fiancé Alexander Gibbs, and his granddogs, Apollo and Thor. He is also lovingly survived by many friends and family members. Fred will dearly be missed.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass Celebrating Frederick's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, September 25th at 10:30am in Saint Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street READING.
