Frederick A. Hailey

Frederick A. Hailey of Reading passed away on Saturday January 5, 2013 at Winchester Hospital. He was 82 years of age.



Born in Somerville, Frederick was the loving son of the late Robert and Lillian May (Silver) Hailey. Frederick was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.



Frederick was an avid Boston sports fan. He especially loved following Reading Men's Softball. Frederick thoroughly enjoyed travelling to Vermont and New Hampshire for his weekend getaways with his wife Jean. He also truly loved fishing. Frederick proudly defended our freedom in the United States Marine Corps., during the Korean Conflict.



Frederick was the beloved husband of Jean (DiCesare) Hailey. He was the devoted father of Jim Hailey and his wife Meg of Weymouth and Susan Marquis of Methuen. Frederick was the cherished grandfather of Matthew Hailey, Justin Hailey, Meghan Hailey, Alisha Marquis and Michelle Marquis. He was the loving great grandfather of Nayeli. Frederick was the dear brother of John Zwicker, Lillian Zwicker, Sarah Matilda (Tilly) Hailey, and the late Vernon Zwicker, James Hailey, Melborn Zwicker, Francis Martin and Robert (Ruppy) Hailey. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All services were private.
