Gaetano Severini, of Stoneham, passed away on December 20, 2014 at 90 years of age. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Gaetano was born and raised in the North End of Boston, relocated to Medford and then Stoneham. Gaetano, known as "Guy" to all of his friends and family was a devoted family man and truly loved by all. Guy was a respected veteran of the United States Army Airforce, having served in World War II. After serving, he ran a successful family shoe business with his beloved brother John. In the little free time that he had, he enjoyed spending his time with his family on vacations, particularly Cape Cod with his children and grandchildren and Aruba with his wife. He will be greatly missed by all.
Gaetano was the beloved husband of the Lorina (Brogna) Severini. He was the devoted father of Janis Heenan and Diane Severini. Gaetano was the cherished grandfather of Donny Heenan, Lauren Heenan, Adrienne Heenan and Janelle Heenan. He was the loving son of the late Leonardo and Dominica Severini. Gaetano was the dear brother of the late John Severini and Theresa Tessitore. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 9:00 AM followed by Funeral Mass celebrating Gaetano's Eternal Life in Saint Patrick's Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham at 10:00am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4-8pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
