Gary C. Hook

Gary C. Hook, of Stoneham, residing in York Maine, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 3, 2024. He was 71 years of age.

Gary loved all things Elvis, visiting Graceland, and enjoyed fishing at the Shawsheen River in Tewksbury. He loved going to Long Sands in York, Maine with his wife Jean and family during the Summer. Gary spent 50+ years in the auto body trade and eventually went on to open his own business which he named "Billy's Auto Body" after his father, . He spent Fridays working in the garage on his son's Mustang. If you frequented Dunkin Donuts on Main Street in Stoneham on any given weekend, you likely saw Gary chatting with his friends. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone at any time.

Gary is the beloved husband of Mary Jean (Hayes) Hook. He is the loving father of Carrie Aldrich and her husband Mike, Joseph Hook and his wife Stacy, Jared Hook and Elizabeth Hook and step father of Leo Rogers and his wife Sarah, Katie Osazuwa and Michael Rogers. Cherished grandfather of Evan Hook, Norah Hook, Rhett Hook, Keira Hook, Jaxson Hook, Samantha Hook, Mark Aldrich, Ava Aldrich and Jocelyn Aldrich. Loving son of the late William and Connie (Kenny) Hook. Dear brother of Kevin Hook, Kenny Hook and the late Jack Hook. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Thursday October 10th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Gary's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. 

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday October 9th, 2024 from 4 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
