Savarese, Gemma -Of North Reading, July 29th. Beloved wife of the late Dominic Savarese. Devoted mother of Lawrence "Larry" J. Savarese and his wife Darlene of Ipswich, Dennis J. Savarese of Boston and Dominic Savarese, Jr. and his wife Debra of North Reading. Loving daughter of the late John and Lena Colarusso. Beloved sister of the late John Colarusso, Marion Giovino and Carmen Colarusso. Cherished grandmother of Kelly Marie, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Lauren, Jason, Michael and Sarah and Great Grandmother of Nathan, Camryn and Joseph Dominic. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Gemma was born in Cambridge ma ultimately moving to Allston MA where she spent most of her youth, and graduate from Brighton High School class of 1949.

A devoted wife and mother of three boys Gemma was committed to her family that she raised in Cambridge. She worked for the Commonwealth of Mass for thirty years. Gemma always enjoyed the holidays especially Christmas where she would cook wonderful meals for the whole family she continued this  tradition even as the family continued to grow with grandchildren and ultimately great grandchildren.

Gemma's main hobby was bowling. She belonged to a bowling league for twenty-five years where she bowled weekly with her partner and grand daughter Kelly.

She will be missed for sure a selfless person without a jealous bone to her.

Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading line, on Tuesday, Aug. 5th at 10:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 11am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday from 9-10:30am. Interment Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
