Eugene P. and Helen I. (Jamieson) Galipeau of Stoneham, passed away together on Sunday, November 12, 2016 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. They were 92 years of age.

Gene and Helen were the beloved parents of Helen Morse and her husband Eugene, Eugene J. Galipeau and his wife Elizabeth, David P. Galipeau and his wife Karen, and Dorothy Bonfanti and her late husband Frank. Gene and Helen were the cherished grandparents of Glenn, Jonathan, James, Aaron, Nicole, David, Michael, and Elena. They were the loving great grandparents of 4. Helen was the dear sister of Doris Jamieson and her husband Raymond, Sister Elizabeth Dunn, Jean Cann, Eileen Sorrie and her husband Garenit, Roy, Donald, George and Carl Jamieson and the late Claude Jamieson.

During World War II, Gene proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded two purple hearts, being wounded on the battlefield. Helen stood by his side and together they raised four children. Gene was a Former Commander of American Legion in Stoneham and Helen was a Former Auxiliary at the American Legion in Stoneham.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday November 16th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating their Eternal Lives in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am, Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday November 15th from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
