George F. Enos, Jr., 87, beloved husband of Gertrude "Sally" (Holland) Enos, passed away on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Born in Brighton, he is the son of the late George Sr., and Eunice (Malone) Enos.
George grew up in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1949. Following high school, George enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, he served during the Korean War. For over 40 years, George was employed as a tractor trailer operator for Stop & Shop and was a long-time member of the Teamsters Union, Local 25. In retirement, George loved traveling with his wife and enjoyed Hershey bars and ice cream. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, Sally, he is survived by three children: Susan Enos, Cheryl Dunn and her husband Chip and Dale Enos; three grandchildren: Erin Walsh, Ryan Walsh and his wife Rachel and Jillian Dunn; one great grandson Riley Walsh; two brothers: Earl Enos and Lee Enos, and his beloved cat Molly. He is predeceased by his siblings Robert Enos, Loretta Chambers and Harry Enos.
A funeral service celebrating George's Eternal Life will be held on Monday, September 18th, at 11am in the Chapel at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT28), Stoneham. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family on Sunday from 3 to 7p.
