George J. St. Amand, Jr. of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home. He was 60 years of age.
Born in Somerville, George was the loving son of Emma (Simms) St. Amand and the late George F. St. Amand. George was a warm and loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed.
George loved fishing in fresh water and catching trout. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. George proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army.
George was the beloved husband of Ruth E. (Lee) St. Amand. He was the devoted father of Nadine St. Amand and her finance Sean Alaimo of Haverhill and Jessica St. Amand of Stoneham. George was the cherished grandfather of Emily Alejandro, Napoleon Alejandro, Joshua Alaimo and Kassidy St. Amand. He was the loving brother of Irene Thomas and her husband George of Mendon. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 4-7 pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Military Honors will take place at 6:45 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available.
