George Tkachuk of Revere, passed away peacefully on June 27th 2021 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington MA at 90 years of age after a short illness. Loving brother of Philip Tkachuk and his wife Karin of West Peabody, Judie Giannetto of North Reading. Sister-in-Law Jean Tkachuk of Dennis and the late Ray LaRosa, Lillian Grady, and Leon, Edward, Walter and Paul Tkachuk.

Uncle George was adored and loved by his many nieces and nephews and their families.   George was the family historian, recalling with vivid detail the difficult life of his immigrant parents, growing up during the depression, and his many adventures traveling the world.  Until COVID, George could be found ballroom dancing with his dear friend Norma Meuse whenever the opportunity arose.

Funeral Services will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St., Everett, on Thursday, July 1st 2021 at 11:00am.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Entombment to follow.

Visiting hours will be held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 from 5 to 7pm.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to Caring for a Cure.  Dr. Gaby Hobbs MD was George's Hematologist/Oncologist at MGH.  She will be running the Boston Marathon in honoring the Leukemia and BMT nurses.  https://because.massgeneral.org/fundraiser/3301157
