Gerald F. "Jerry" Sullivan of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at his home. He was 69 years of age.
Born in Medford, Jerry was the loving son of the late Edward Sullivan and Catherine (Hanrahan) Sullivan. Jerry was a warm and caring son, brother, loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed.
Jerry was employed by the Town of Stoneham from 1972 - 2000. He later worked at Stoneham Ford from 2000 - 2006. Jerry was the Stoneham Auxiliary Police Chief and Commissioner. He was employed by New England Memorial Hospital Security. Jerry was the Past Commander of The Stoneham VFW Post 620 and a member of the Stoneham Memorial Day Committee. He was an avid golfer. During the Vietnam Era, Jerry proudly defended our freedom in the United States Air Force.
Jerry was the beloved husband to his wife, partner and best friend, Kathleen (Harrington) Sullivan. He was the devoted father of Doreen L. Cincotta and her husband Joseph of Melrose, Gary F. Sullivan and his wife Shana and Nicole D. Sullivan, all of Stoneham. Jerry was the cherished grandfather of Meghan R. and Lauren K. Cincotta, both of Melrose and Ava G. Sullivan of Stoneham. He was the dear brother of E. Roger Sullivan of Florida.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Jerry's life will be held on Friday at 10:30am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
