Geraldine L. (Glennon) Bowker of Reading passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Winchester Hospital. She was 85 years of age.
Born in Malden, Geraldine was the loving daughter of the late Walter E. Glennon and Lucy (Staples) Glennon. Geraldine was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Geraldine was a longtime resident of Reading. She was an avid gardener. Geraldine enjoyed taking oil painting classes in Reading. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Geraldine was the beloved wife for 54 years of James L. Bowker. She was the devoted mother of Nancy J. Perry, William J. Bowker and his wife Ranada, all of Maine, James L. Bowker Jr. of Reading, Patricia A. Brent and her husband John of New Hampshire, Barbara E. Geary of Woburn. Geraldine was the cherished grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of many. She was the dear sister of Wesley Glennon of New Hampshire. Geraldine was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service celebrating Geraldine's life will be held on Tuesday at 12pm in the Chapel of the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Monday 2-4 & 6-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
