Geraldine F. (McEttrick) Mitchell

Geraldine F. (McEttrick) Mitchell of Reading passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Lexington. She was 91 years of age.

Born in Somerville, Geraldine was the loving daughter of the late Matthew and Roseanne (Bresnahan) McEttrick.

Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Reading. She was very active in St. Agnes Parish. She worked at Jordan Marsh in Burlington. Geraldine loved to travel, her favorite place was Hawaii.

Geraldine was the beloved wife of the late William B. Mitchell. She was the devoted mother of Priscilla Mitchell, Doreen Fortini and her husband Ed, Geraldine Beadle and her husband Tom and Carolann Mitchell. Geraldine was the cherished grandmother of Matthew Fortini, Joy Wilson, Thomas Beadle, Ryan Fortini, Michael Beadle, Kathyrn Beadle, William Dallalis and Emma Dallalis and great grandmother of 8. She was the loving sister of the late Richard McEttrick and Doris Davidson.

A Funeral Service celebrating Geraldine's life will be held on Monday at 12 pm in the Chapel of the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family prior to the service on Monday from 10-12 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
