Giuseppe “Joe” Pascuccio of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Born on Wednesday, September 4, 1935 in Grottominardo, Avellino, Italy, Joe was the loving son of the late Antonio Pascuccio and Rosina (Lanza) Pascuccio. Joe was charming, outgoing, funny & charismatic.
He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be truly missed.
Joe immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s with many of his siblings.
Before coming to United States he lived in Switzerland with his brother Mike where he learned his trade of carpentry.
Joe first resided in Somerville, and settled in Stoneham for over 45 years, in the house he built with his family. He joined the Carpenters Union and despite the language barrier his talent quickly emerged. He started a construction company, Pascucci Brothers with his brother Mario. Joe then branched out on his own and started JP Construction. He worked hard to build a name for himself and became general contractor for over 30 years; building schools, courthouses, libraries , and medical buildings.
Joe cherished his family and the time they spent together, his passion for food like no other. He loved sharing his stories about growing up in Italy with anyone who listened. His weekends often were spent playing cards, hunting , planting his prize possession garden and winemaking. Joe often threw big summer cookouts for all his family and friends. His house was “the center of the universe”.
Joe had a big personality that could work a room and made people smile wherever he went.
Joe was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Boccelli) Pascuccio and the late Tina (Lombardi) Pascuccio. He was the devoted father of Antonietta “Toni” Pascuccio and her fiancé George Boukouvalas, Rosa Willis and her husband Jason, Diana Pascuccio, Cristina Pignone and her husband Rick, Angela Miller and her husband Jason, Josephine Pascuccio, Lisa–Marie Pascuccio, Shelley Kilty and her husband Matt, Steve Kamalic and his wife Marion and Joseph Pascuccio Jr. Joe was the cherished grandfather of Alana, Javin, Ayla and Jason Willis, Sean and Talia Herbert, Tiana, Kaylee, Olivia and Ricky Pignone, Zoe and Isabella Miller, Faith and Lylah Stockbridge, Haydn, Adysn, Peytn and Avyln Kilty, Kathryn, Alyssa, Steven and Christian Kamalic and Wynter Pascuccio. He is the dear brother of Gennaro Pascuccio, Yolanda Martiniello and the late Antonio Pascucci, Michele Pascuccio, Mario Pascuccio, Tommaso Pascuccio, Marianna Faretra, Olimpia Visconti and Giovanina Roselli. Joe is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
