Quaceci, Giuseppe "Joe" - Of Dracut, MA, formerly of Somerville, MA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on July 20, 2021 at the age of 76.
Son of late Luigi Quaceci and Giuseppa (Finocchiaro) Quaceci of Adrano, Italy. Father of Josephine Voisinet of North Reading, Margaret Quaceci of Marblehead, Rita Quaceci and her husband Marco Gomes of Melrose, Luisa Antonopoulos and her husband Nicholas of North Reading and Laura Quaceci of Medford. Brother of Maria Fazzolari and her late husband Vincenzo of FL, Alfina Limoli and her husband Santo of Wilmington and Elena Brick of Tewksbury. "Nonno Joe" of Daniela, Samuele, Annabelle, Siena, Lucas, Pia, Vera and Evan. Joe is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Joe was born in Adrano, Italy on January 15, 1945. He migrated to the United States in 1960 and settled in Somerville, Massachusetts. Served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman at the age of 19. He mastered the art of Plastering at a young age and was a mentor and teacher for over 40 years to many plasterers.
He enjoyed being with family, cooking Italian food, watching television and movies, listening to Elvis Presley
and spending time at his New Hampshire log cabin. His candid and funny nature made him loved by many.
Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading Line, on Monday, July 26th at 11am. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 12pm. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday 3-6pm. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. Joe was a member of Local #3 Brick Layers and Craftsmen for many years. www.cotafuneralhomes.com
