Hulse, Gloria R. (Barrasso) -Of Reading, Aug, 4th. Beloved wife of the late Harold "Lucky" Hulse. Loving mother of Bob and his wife Connie, Julie her husband Bill, Joanne and her husband Andy and the late Joe. Adoring grandmother of Tina and her husband Bill, Angie and her husband Matt, Michelle, Tony, Michael, Candy and Nicole. Great grandmother of Brian, Aubrey, Matthew, Torrey, Enzo, Lena, MJ and Joey. Sister of the late the late Anthony, Thomas, Eugene and Joseph Barrasso Jr. Gloria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Gloria loved country music and line dancing.  She never missed an opportunity to attend outdoor concerts at Ipswich River Park, Reading Common, or in Stoneham. Almost 40 years as a teacher at Sawyer Nursery School, she could not go around town without hearing "Mrs. Hulse!" from former students (or their parents, who may also have been students).  She also enjoyed monthly luncheons with many of the teachers that she worked with over the years.

Gloria worked as a Registrar of voters in Reading, and could always be found at the information table at the Field House on voting day. She was very active at the Reading Senior Center and participated in many activities there, including monthly birthday luncheons, chair volleyball, or anytime there was music. She especially enjoyed when they had "Lunch with a cop", and she would see Officer Kristen.

Most of all, she was very proud of her family.  Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She loved with all her heart and soul, and it always showed in her ever beaming smile.

Gloria's funeral will begin from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 14th at 9:30am.  Her Funeral Mass will be held in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gloria's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
