Grace M. Sasso

Grace M. (Fasciani) of Stoneham, July 11, 2012 at age 91. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Sasso, Sr. Devoted mother of Joseph A. Sasso Jr. and his husband Steve of Arlington and Paula J. Sasso of Stoneham. Cherished grandmother of Marisa and Joseph "Jay" Sasso III, both of IL. Mother-in-law of Gina. Dear sister of the late Jean Touchette and her late husband Rodolph, Thomas Fasciani and his late wife Tina, Anthony Fasciani and his late wife Patricia. Loving daughter of the late Tancredi and Julia (Ciovacco) Fasciani.



Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Grace's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

Grace was a 79 year member of the Sons of Italy and held numerous offices. Most recently she was a member of Wakefield Lodge # 1734. In 2007 she received the Golden Lion Award which is the highest award the Sons of Italy can bestow on a member of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts. For 10 years Grace worked in the Grand Lodge office as a bookkeeper.





She grew up in Everett and moved to Stoneham fifty-eight years ago. Grace was an avid card player always ready to deal the cards. She enjoyed her family and, in later life, watched many game shows. She kept an ongoing list of the many books she had read. Each Christmas she was proud of making at least 1200 cookies.
