IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory J.
Parent
August 9, 1978 – July 29, 2023
Gregory John Parent, loving husband of Maegan (Coyle) Parent, passed away on Saturday, July 29th at the age of 44. Born in Schenectady, New York, he is the beloved son of Paul and Candace (Hodio) Parent.
Greg grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut and was a graduate of Glastonbury High School. He graduated from Plymouth State University with a degree in Actuarial Math. During high school, Greg was a talented soccer player and good athlete. In 2017 he completed the Boston Marathon. Greg's talents grew with hands on work. He was so creative and gifted with his hands. His home and yard definitely reflect his talents. Greg co-owned Earth, Stone and Water in Medford with his dear friend Chris. They are known for their intricate stonework, waterfalls, playscapes and creative ways to make homes beautiful.
Greg was a great friend and neighbor. He was always hosting friends and family. He loved to help any way he could. His greatest joy came from being with his family. Greg enjoyed being at his daughter's sporting events, watching movies as a family, making the most out of the time they had together. He will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched.
In addition to being the devoted husband of Maegan and loving son of Paul and Candace, Greg is the cherished father of Brynn Mary and Isla Mae who were the center of his world. He is the beloved brother of Jeffrey P. Parent and Andrew G. Parent and his partner Theresa Unterreiner all of CT. He was the loving uncle of Jackson and Evan Parent of CT, and close friend and business partner of Christopher Mann of NH. Greg also leaves his in-laws Paul & Laura Coyle of NH and Mary Coyle of NJ who loved him as a son. Greg leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and close friends and their family dog Bruno.
Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading, (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Friday, August 4th, 2023 from 3 to 6:30pm. A service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30pm
