Guy J. Piro

Guy J. Piro of Somerville, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 83 years of age.

Guy was the beloved husband of Madeline (Tseko) Piro. He was the devoted father of Michelle Piro, Steven Piro and his wife Josephine, Julie Perrin and her husband Arthur, Richard Campbell, Paul Campbell and his wife Joanne and the late Edward Campbell. Guy was the cherished grandfather of Steven Piro, Alex Piro, Kenneth Piro, Rachel Perrin, Paul Campbell, Jr., Michael Campbell, Richard Haines and Steven Haines. He was the dear brother of Vincent Piro, Joseph Piro and predeceased by 3 brothers and sisters.

During the Korean War, Guy proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army. He was a member of The Dante Club, Somerville and The Somerville YMCA.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday, March 7, 2014 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Guy's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available.
