H. Grant Cressinger, of Newburyport, formerly of Reading, passed away of August 3, 2007 at Salem Hospital. He was 78 years of age.
Born in Chicago, Grant was a resident of Reading for many years. He proudly served our Country in the United States Army in World War II and the Korean War.
Grant was a loving son, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Grant was the beloved husband for 58 years of Lillian (McGrail) Cressinger. He was the loving father of Diane Rubb and her husband Kevin Arsenault of Swampscott, Stephen Cressinger and his wife Michele, Susan Worden and her husband Robert all of Reading, and Ellen Duffy and her husband Kevin of Newburyport. Grant was the cherished grandfather of Brian and Amy Cressinger and Jacob, Tyler and Dane Worden.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Grant's in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located on Linden St. Parking attendants will be on duty.
