Hanne A. (Larsen) Capolino

Hanne A. (Larsen) Capolino of Medford, formerly of Taastrup, Denmark,  September 6, 2022 at age 80.

Beloved wife of Francesco Capolino for 54 years, who she met in Rome in 1963 and referred to as the love of her life. Cherished mother of Cristina Puopolo and her husband Arthur, Mariella Harrington and her husband Richard, and Monica Leger and her husband Jim.  Loving grandmother of Francesco Puopolo, Erik Harrington, Marco Puopolo, Lorenzo Puopolo, Jaclyn Harrington, Paige Harrington, Keira DeVenne, Avery Harrington, Hayden Leger, and the late Faith DeVenne.

Treasured daughter of the late Eleonora Juliane (Nielsen) and Aage Richard William Larsen. Dear sister of Herdis Madsen and Lene Olsen of Denmark.  Predeceased by 5 beloved siblings, Doris Solveig Nielsen, Poul Boye Larsen, Vagn Bent Larsen, Anne Lise Larsen and Lisbeth Inge Larsen. Daughter-in-law of the late of Oresta and Alberto Capolino. Beloved sister-in-law of Maria (Capolino) and Manuel Garcia who lovingly helped care for her and to whom we will be forever grateful; Gino Capolino, Evelina and Ralph Ottaviano, Salvatore and Anne Capolino and the late Antonio and Licia Capolino. Also survived by many nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

She was a well educated, incredibly bright, strong and beautiful woman with a love of music, art and books. She fluently spoke Danish, Italian and English until her final days. She had many hobbies she executed with perfection with her unparalleled attention to detail, such as sewing clothes for her girls, decor for her home and crocheting baby blankets for each of her grandchildren in anticipation of their births. Mormor will forever be adored by each of them for her unwavering love, pride and confidence in them, all while instilling her strong Viking heritage. Most of all, she will be missed for her sage life and parenting advice and was a safe haven for her daughters. 

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (Rt 28) Stoneham from 8 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Hanne's Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 AM. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
