Harland M. Roberts

Harland M. Roberts Jr. of Reading, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2005. He was 76 years of age.





Born in Berwick, Maine, Harland was the cherished son of the late Harland M. Roberts Sr. and Nellie (Tibbetts) Roberts. Harland was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.





Harland was a dedicated traffic manager for Raytheon Corp. for many years. He was a Past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus in Reading. Harland also worked for the Boston - Maine Railroad.





Harland adored his family. He cherished every day with them. They were first and foremost in his life.





Harland was the beloved husband of the late Marianne (Dunn) Roberts. He was the devoted father of Harland Roberts III of Chesapeake, Virginia, Mary Bassett of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Raymond Roberts of Nashua, New Hampshire, Joseph Roberts of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Michael Roberts of Reading, James Roberts of Henniker, New Hampshire, Edmund Roberts of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Christine Ingemi of Amherst, New Hampshire, and David Roberts of Reading. Harland was the cherished grandfather of 19, the great grandfather of 6 and the dear brother of the late Elaine Doyle.





Funeral from the Barile Family - Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 7:45am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
