Harry E. Devine of Reading, formerly of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Ashland Farms Assisted Living in Andover, Massachusetts. He was 91 years of age.
Born in Chicago, Harry was a longtime resident of Chicago and Reading. He was the beloved son of the late James Devine and May (Mahoney) Devine. Harry was a warm and gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
Harry was employed as a printer for Golden Books for many years. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music.
Harry was the beloved husband of the late MaryJane (Colwell) Devine. He was the devoted father of Bill Devine of Illinois, Diane McLaughlin and her husband Jim of Reading, and the late James Devine and his surviving wife Peg of Illinois. Harry was the cherished grandfather of 9 the great grandfather of 10.
A Funeral Service was held in the Chapel of the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Thursday, December 22nd, 2005 at 1pm. Interment was in Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
