Hazel E. (Downs) Nims

Hazel E. (Downs) Nims, 93, beloved wife of the late Herbert W. Nims, passed away on May 4th, 2018 at Bear Hill Nursing Home.

Hazel grew up in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, with family being the most important. Hazel was a proud and loving grandmother and a dear friend to many.

She is the loving Mother of David W. Nims and his wife Dale, Steven P. Nims and his wife Eileen and Patricia E. Nickerson and her husband Roy. Cherished grandmother of Laura Nickerson, Stephen Nickerson, Kelsey Nims, Briana E. Henderson and her husband Shane and Sarah E. Pompey and her husband Thomas "TJ". Hazel was also the dear sister of the late John Downs.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Hazel's family at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28), STONEHAM, on Tuesday, May 8th from 8:30-9:30am, following the visitation, a Funeral Mass celebrating Hazel's Eternal Life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am.
