Helen T. Bushee

Helen T. Bushee (89) of Middleton, Massachusetts, formerly of Melrose, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 9, 2023. Born in Charlestown, 

Massachusetts, Helen married Francis (Frank) Bushee in 1956 and lived in Somerville, Melrose, and in 1969 moved to Middleton. 

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 49 years, Frank Bushee. She is survived by her three children Michael Bushee and his wife Ann Marie Theresa Turcotte and her husband Ronald, and Linda Barritt and her husband Richard. She was also a proud grandmother to Jennifer Dumouchel and her husband Matthew Dumouchel, Jessica Bushee and her fiancé JP Kreisher, Andrea Bushee and her fiancé Matthew O'Blenes, Zachary Turcotte, Emma Turcotte, Michael Barritt and his wife Samantha Barritt, and Shauna Richter and her husband Andrew Richter. Helen was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Asher and Harley Barritt. Helen is survived by her sister, Antoinette Primerano, and was predeceased by her brothers Michael and Frank Smith and her sisters Anna Zanstuck and Jennie Smith. 

Helen was referred to as Nana and often the "funny one". She loved Polka music and attended polkabrations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. She was an excellent cribbage player and enjoyed playing cards and other games with the family. Nana loved slot machines and visiting casinos from Las Vegas and Atlantic City to Connecticut and Florida while making new acquaintances on each visit. Her laughter spread joy and forever will be imprinted in our hearts. 

She will always be cherished as Nana and a loving mother. A private celebration of Helen's life will be held on August 2nd at Barile Family Funeral Homes in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
