Helen T. Devereaux

January 26, 1925 — January 30, 2010

Helen T. (Ledford) Devereaux of Stoneham, formerly of Charlestown and Somerville, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.



Born in Medford, Helen was the daughter of the late Charles T. Ledford and Mary J. (Devlin) Ledford.



Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all.



Helen retired in 2007 after 26 years as a Stoneham Traffic Director and was previously employed at Winchester Hospital's Pharmacy Department.



Helen was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Devereaux, with whom she had celebrated 61 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Elaine F. Raymond and her late husband Paul of NH, Roberta T. Hasselbrack and her husband Kenneth of NH, Dr. Karen Devereaux Melillo and her husband Robert M. of N. Andover, Joan L. Haggerty and her husband Robert of Stoneham and Diane T. Geragosian and her husband Michael G. of N. Andover. Cherished grandmother of Kristin Priore, Paul Raymond, Kerry Hasselbrack, R. Michael, Marc, Kara and Eric Melillo, Joseph Haggerty, Maureen Puccio, Leah, Craig, Adam and Brian Geragosian. Great grandmother of Sean, Ryan, Devin, Shannyn and Anthony. Dear sister of the late Sarah, Charles, Rosemary, Francis and P. Joseph.



Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Helen's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Funeral Home.
