Helen M. (Zarrella) Drago

Helen M. (Zarrella) Drago, of Danvers, formerly of Stoneham, passed away on Monday December 1, 2025. She was 93 years of age.

Helen was happy with the simple things in life, especially if it meant doing them with her late husband Gaspare. They were inseparable and did everything together. One of the most beautiful sights was seeing them dance together. Their connection was effortless, full of affection, and full of life. Whether they were slow dancing in the living room or swaying together at family celebrations, the love between them was undeniable.

But more than anything, Helen loved being surrounded by family. She cherished every gathering, every shared meal, every story told around the table. Watching her with her grandchildren was like watching pure love in motion—she lit up at the sound of their laughter and never missed a chance to play, listen, or simply hold them close.

Helen is the beloved wife of the late Gaspare Drago. She is the cherished mother of Paul Drago and his wife Amy, Mark Drago and his wife Debbie and Paula Anderson. Loving grandmother of Emma Drago, Jack Drago, Brittany Longmuir and her husband Scott, Taylor Bailey and her husband Bob, Dean Anderson, Briana Drago, Olivia Drago, and Ryan Drago. Great grandmother of Mila Longmuir, Bryce Longmuir and Mack Bailey. Dear sister of the late Anthony Zarrella, Vincent Zarrella, Anne Shields and Marie Whynottt. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Thursday December 4th, 2025 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 8:30 am - 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Helen's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
