Helen A. Fortini

Helen A. (White) Fortini of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 84 years of age.
Born in Woburn, Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Stanley Vitkauskas and Anna (Ripshis) Vitkauskas. Helen was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Helen was active in the Massachusetts Federation of Women's Clubs, serving in numerous ranking positions. She knitted afghans for the Veterans Hospital and she also volunteered in the Stoneham Elementary School System. She was devoted to her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Anthony M. Fortini. She was the devoted mother of Robert A. Fortini and his wife Katheryne of Medford. Helen was the cherished grandmother of Franklin Bartlett and Anita Fortini and the loving great grandmother of Dorothy and Zoe. She was the dear sister of the late Stanley and Al White and Edith Walliakis. Helen was also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Helen's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
