Helen M. (Paleologos) Starr, of Stoneham, passed away on Wednesday April10, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. She was 79 years of age.
Born in Woonsocket Rhode Island, Mrs. Starr was a resident of Stoneham for 53 years. She worked for Malden Music in Malden for many years. She loved to dance, especially ballroom dancing.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Her family was first and foremost in her life.
Mrs. Starr was the cherished wife of Joseph J. Starr. She was the beloved mother of Joelene Pakklia of Georgetown and Lori Fish of Stoneham. She was the loving grandmother of Lee Fish, Alex Pakkila, and Casey Pakkila .
A Prayer Service was conducted in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. Stoneham April 13, 2002 with Deacon Turner officiating.
