Helen T. (Keeley) "June" Hamel

Helen "June" T. (Keeley) Hamel of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 87 years of age. Born on February 22, 1929, June was the loving daughter of the late Arthur and May Keeley. June was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

June was the beloved wife of the late Leo N. Hamel. She was the devoted mother of Leo A. Hamel and his wife Marjorie, Susan Hamel-Bottari and her husband Derek and Andy Hamel and his wife Maryellen. June was the cherished grandmother of Alivia, Cameron, Jordan, Andrew and Jack. The dear sister of Colonel John Keeley USMC Retired and his late wife Mary, Margaret "Peggy" Keeley, Elaine "Honey" Keeley, the late James A. Keeley and his wife Marion, and sister in law Bertha van der Bent, June was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, April 21st at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating June's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham a 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, April 20th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
