Helene Claude (Gauthier) Selle of Reading, formerly of Stoneham, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at home with her family by her side.





Born April 29, 1952, Helene was the loving daughter of the late Marcel Gauthier and Rolande Guay of Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada. She was also the beloved sister of eight siblings, the late Micheline Gagnon-Poitras, Jacques Gauthier and his wife Pat, Nicole Gauthier and her husband Jean-Louis, Colette Gauthier and her husband Gilles, Lise Gauthier and her husband Jacques, Richard Gauthier and his wife Denise, the late Claude Gauthier, and Andree Gauthier and her husband Gilles, all of Canada.





Helene always celebrated life with her ever present, elegant smile. She touched so many people's lives with her love and harmony. She was generously devoted to her son and daughter and had her grandchildren in her everyday joy. She will be missed and remembered by her immediate family as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends.





Helene was a talented stained glass and mosaic artist. Her work embellished her home as well as the homes of her loved ones. Her exceptional culinary skills and welcoming kitchen gave many people joyful memories around her table that will be forever treasured.





Helene was the beloved wife of Terence L. Selle, the devoted mother of Jason Blout and his wife Mary Susan of Stoneham, Melanie Lewis and her husband Daniel of North Billerica, the devoted stepmother of Joshua Selle and his wife Sara of Providence, Rhode Island, and Sasha Thompson and her husband John of San Francisco, California. She was the former wife of Michael J. Blout of Bristol, New Hampshire. She was also the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren, David and Morgan Blout, Thatcher Michael Lewis, and Benjamin, Parker and Gigi Selle.





A Funeral Service celebrating Helene's life will be held on Saturday at 5 pm in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Saturday from 2-5 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available.
