Herbert W. Crandall
Herbert W. Crandall, of Stoneham died on Thursday January 31, 2002 at Bear Hill Nursing Center, Stoneham. Mr.Crandall celebrated his 86 birthday January 9th.
Born in Stoneham in 1916, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Bessie J.(Graham) Crandall. He and his twin brother, Horace, were the only twins graduating from Stoneham High School Class of 1934. He attended night school at Industrial Technology in Copley Square while working, obtaining a degree in Electrical engineering. He was employed for 34years before retiring in 1978 as an electrician at Boston Regional Medical Center. Herbert was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church since 1934.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
Herbert was the husband of Rose (Landa) Crandall. He is survived by his two children, Warren Crandall and his wife Karyl of Amesbury, Nancy Crandall and his two grandchildren, Sharon Greenleaf of Barrington, N.H. and Stephen Crandall of Portland, ME. Herbert was the brother of Thelma Osborne of N.H. and the late Greta Sweeter of CA., Everett, Marion, Hattie and his twin brother Horace Crandall.
A Service will be held for Mr.Crandall in the Seventh Day Adventist Church 29 Maple St. Stoneham on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 4 p.m. with Reverend John Oddi officiating.
