Irene (Ciampia) Stanger of Reading, formerly of Yonkers, New York passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at her home. She was 91 years of age.
Born in Yonkers, New York, Irene was the cherished daughter of the late Vincent Ciampia and Aurelia (Schettino) Ciampia. Irene was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be sorely missed.
Irene was a dedicated nurse for many years. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Yonkers. Her true love was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Irene was the beloved wife of Martin C. Stanger. She was the dear sister of the late Roseina and James Ciampia. rene was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Irene's life will be celebrated on Friday at 9am in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. READING.
