Change in Funeral Date and Times

Jacqueline F. Herlihy, 67, beloved wife of the late Ernest M. Herlihy, passed away on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at her home.  Born in Cambridge, she is the daughter of the late Silviano and Mary (Napolitano) DiLello.

Jacqueline is a lifelong resident of Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School.  For many years, she worked at the East Somerville Community School for 22 years until her retirement.  Jacqueline enjoyed going to the beach, Foxwoods, playing cards on Friday nights hanging out with her close Clarendon Hill Tower friends.  Jackie also enjoyed listening to Elvis and the Jersey Boys and eating delicious seafood dinners with her granddaughter and her family.    She leaves her beloved cats Boy and Clueless and will be missed by many.

Jacqueline is the beloved mother of Dawn Morabito and her husband John of Quincy, Jennifer Herlihy of Somerville and the late Melissa Herlihy.  Cherished grandmother of Michael Herlihy and his long time significant other Rosa of Quincy, Jessica and Anthony Morabito of Quincy, Amber Lewey of New Hampshire, Steven Roselando of Medford, McKayla Hotz of Somerville and Ashely of Massachusetts.  Loving sister of Marie Diamond and her husband of Charles of Cleveland, Ohio.  She is also the aunt of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 from 9:15 to 10:15am.  A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Catherine's Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville at 11:00am.  Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston on Monday, February  28th at 11am.
