Jacoba (Guzman) Otero, of Peabody formerly of Wakefield passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the Peabody Glen Nursing Center, Peabody. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Guaynubo, Puerto Rico, Mrs Otero was a longtime resident of Wakefield. She was a child car provider for many years.
Jacoba devoted her life to her family. Her warm and friendly smile reflected the wonderful friendships she made over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and will be missed by all.
Jacoba was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Otero. She was the loving mother of Francisco D. Otero III of Staten Island, New York, Yvette Otero- Bachiller of Wakefield and the late Jose Otero. She was the loving grandmother of 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was the sister of Benedicta Guzman Meced, Eugenia Guzman Merced and Monserat Guzman Merced.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (Rte. 28) STONEHAM on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church 136 Woburn Street, Reading on Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield, MA.
