IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacqueline (Bliszcz)
Morrissey
September 7, 1933 – March 15, 2024
Jacqueline (Bliszcz) Morrissey, beloved wife of the late William Morrissey, passed away on Friday, March 15th, 2024 at the age of 90. Born in Ay- Champagne, France, she is the loving daughter of the late Jean and Anna (Chruszcz) Bliszcz.
Jacqueline grew up in Ay- Champagne, France, where her family operated a farm and produced grapes for the top champagne houses. She met her husband, William, while he was serving in the Army. William was stationed as a Radar operator, and the village where Jacqueline and her family lived was at the base of the hill. They married, and in 1958, Jacqueline came to the United States with William. They settled in North Reading, where they raised their family.
A talented seamstress by trade, Jacqueline worked from home, creating and altering clothing. After retiring from sewing, she remained active and worked in the bakery at Shaws. Jacqueline loved to make cookies and give samples out to the kids and shoppers.
Jacqueline was always on the go. She loved gardening, planting around her home, and taking care of her yard. Her dedication to making her home beautiful was evident. Jacqueline cherished socializing with her many friends, actively participating in the French Community, and spending time with her family. Sunday dinners and moments with her children and grandchildren brought her immense joy.
She will be deeply missed by her loving family and close friends.
She is the devoted mother of Robert Morrissey and his wife Michelle of Billerica, and mother to the late Christine Wilson. She was also the cherished grandmother of Sean Wilson of North Reading, as well as Jake, Kathryn, and Kyle Morrissey, all of Billerica. Additionally, she leaves behind her dear friend, Marie Therese' Lukaszewski.
Family and friends are cordially invited to celebrate Jacqueline's life at a private Graveside Service at Wildwood Cemetery on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 1pm.
